Orion Music Studio is a a full service lesson facility offering one-on-one music instruction on guitar, bass, piano, drums, voice, flute, violin/fiddle, banjo, mandolin and an ever increasing variety of of other instruments.

At Orion Music Studio, all our instructors are dedicated, full time music educators and are focused on the overall well being of our students. We believe that music is the gateway to better learning habits, self motivated activity, and individual accomplishment.

No age requirements and no heavy handed conservatory attitudes here. Our only goal is to bring each student to music in a way that will keep it in their lives forever.

Lessons are 30 minutes per instrument of study, and meet once each week with the same instructor. We know how busy life can be, and we do our best to accommodate every schedule while keeping a consistent learning environment.

Meet the Owners of Orion Music Studio

Nick Schillace began Orion Music Studio in 2000, while completing his masters degree in guitar studies at Wayne State University. The studio has since grown, hosting nine other talented instructors, including his wife and fellow musician/instructor Jennie Knaggs, Today, Nick and Jennie both run the studio and continue to teach music to people of all ages.
